Get to know the owner: I’m Liam, based in North Yorkshire, family is at the heart of everything I do. Alongside my wife, I’m proud to be raising our three young children, building a business I believe in, and creating a home for our family and all our furry animals. I’m grateful to my wife for her support and for helping me run the business along the way.
Raising three young children, one of whom has cerebral palsy, has given me a personal understanding of the challenges that can come with accessibility, safety, and creating spaces that meet individual needs. This, alongside over 20 years in the fire service and my background in joinery, has strengthened my passion for making homes and spaces safer, more accessible, and inclusive for everyone.
I believe thoughtful design, practical solutions, and attention to detail can make a genuine difference to people's everyday lives, and that belief is at the heart of the work I do.

Past:
My journey began with an apprenticeship in bench joinery, followed by employment in site joinery leading to developing my own company, JLA Joinery. Over time, that foundation has grown into a broad skill set covering a wide range of trades, allowing me to take a more complete, hands-on approach to projects from start to finish.
Alongside my experience in joinery and the wider building trades, my passion for disability access, accessibility, and fire door safety stems from more than 17 years in the fire service. That experience has shaped my understanding of the importance of safety, compliance, and creating spaces that work for everyone. It’s a commitment that goes beyond the practicalities of a project; it’s about making a genuine difference.
